  • “Experience is the best teacher.” The Canfield Education Innovation Fund (CEIF) is excited to launch Fortify the Fund: An Online Auction. Bid on over 100 experiences donated by the community and Canfield Local School District staff from March 20 - April 3, 2023, at Thank you to all who donated items for this event! Have some fun and help raise money for the Canfield Education Innovation Fund (CEIF). The CEIF is a monetary fund that was established to promote, encourage, and enhance educational opportunities that strengthen and enrich our students’ experiences. Learn more about it at All winners will be notified prior to Spring Break with specific details for claiming the item/experience.

  • The Canfield Players present Chicago: Teen Edition. The curtain goes up on March 30-31, 2023, and April 1, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. and April 2, 2023,  at 2:30 p.m.

  • The fifty-third Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition will include a selection from Jase Roberts and is on display from April 23 - May 18, 2023, at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus. Congratulations!

  • Congratulations to Noah Auman who placed 2nd in the 21 WFMJ Regional Spelling Bee at Stambaugh Auditorium this past weekend! Noah was one of over 70 spellers from surrounding area schools to participate in the bee. Way to represent CVMS!

  • Congratulations Caitlin Minkler! She competed in the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival at YSU this weekend and received a Superior rating for Piano.

  • Congratulations One Octave Higher and Chamber Ensembles!  They earned superior ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association District contest. They each earned a District title and both will head to the State contest on April 21, 2023. 

  • Congratulations Lady Cardinals for being selected as the 2023 Girls Basketball Team of the Year by YSN.  

  • Congratulations Tanya Pai Dhungat, Timmy Domer and Simon Kovas for earning The Grand Cup from the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs’ annual festival at YSU.  

  • Congratulations Gabriella Smallwood, Dev Sethi and Jocelyn Zhao for earning The President’s Cup from The Ohio Federation of Music Clubs’ annual festival at YSU. 

  • Congratulations Lily Billak, Elliana Colla, Klara Edenfield, Taylor Griswold, Eleanor Ignazio, Paige Morell, Harper Nelson, Bryn Novotny, Kennedy Reynolds, Lily Stackhouse and Alexa Stredni! They are on the 5th Grade Girls Basketball team and won the TCBOA Youth Basketball tournament!  

  • Congratulations to Nick Hartwig and Max Hopkinson who placed 2nd and Stephen Toth who placed 4th place in the Youth Wrestling BWA Championship and to Nick Hartwig, Matteo Furr, Lucas Hopkinson, James Libert and Adam Rupp who qualified for the OAC State Tournament. Also participating were: Frankie Thomas, Jordan Foerster, Silas Taylor, Joey Thomas, and Logan Kapalko.   

  • Congratulations to Jake Schneider and Dom Cruz on being named to the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association 2022-23 District 1 All-District Team! 

  • Congratulations Matt Logan! He finished 3rd in the State Bowling tournament!

  • Congratulations Tyler Scharrer! He finished 6th in the State Wrestling meet.

  • Congratulations Canfield High School Speech and Debate team! They finished fifth in team competition at the state tournament.

  • Congratulations to defensive end Hunter Kanotz who has committed to John Carroll and Jimmy Scharrer who committed to Baldwin Wallace!

  • Thank you to the community members who signed up to be on the Facility Planning Committee. We will keep our families and community updated on the facility planning process with summaries after the committee meetings. All information will be in the Facility Resources section on our website

  • Looking ahead: Spring Break begins on Friday, April 7, 2023, and classes resume on Monday, April 17, 2023.
